A charter plane suspected to belong to the army just made an emergency landing in Kiwawu along Mityana road afew minutes ago. Onlookers at the scene suspect fuel shortage could be behind the frightening incidence;
the 8 crew members, majority of whom are US officials, are said to have disembarked safely and are currently being transported by road to Entebbe.
The plane which was bound for South Sudan had actually arrived but it is still unclear why the pilot did not land there, opting to make a return journey back to Uganda.
Frantic scenes were witnessed as traffic police and the army rushed in to take control of the situation which has attracted and caused a motor blockade along this major business route.
